Alberta Bair- Parent Volunteers (We need 2 parents to join us. Please email me at hansona@billingsschools.org if you are available)
Kindergarten is going to the Alberta Bair Theater to watch the performance of Raven Stole the Sun on Tuesday, April 10th, 2012! In order to secure the seats and pay for the bus, we need to collect the money ASAP. The performance costs $5 per person (student/adult) and the bus will be $2 per person. Please send $7 (cash or check payable to Alysha Hanson) and the permission slip by Tuesday, February 28th.
SNACKS PLEASE!!
We are in need of some snacks to get us through the rest of the year. Some of the favorites are goldfish, pretzels, graham crackers and anything else cracker related. Please try to buy snacks for the whole class and not anything in individual bags.

Math This Week
Objective- write and solve addition sentences to represent jointing situations.
- At home idea- Roll two dice and find how many dots are altogether. Such as one showing 6 dots and 5 dots. On a piece of paper, have your child draw the dots on each die and write the addition sentence (6+5=11). Point to each number and symbol as children say the sentence with you. Ask questions about the addition sentence ( How many were in the first and/or second group or how many are there altogether?)

Object.- Act out number stories that involve separating two groups
11-2 Taking Away and Crossing Out
Object.- Determine how many are left when some objects in a groups are taken away.
