-Our school will serve "tacos in a boat". We need all the help we can get. Even if you can

only come and help serve the food for an hour, it would be appreciated. You can call or

email me any time this week if you are available.

Times available to work:

10:00 - 12:00

12:00 - 2:00

2:00 - 4:00

4:00- Cleanup

- Pre-sale Saturday Live tickets will be sold outside by the morning walk Wednesday-

Friday in the morning. Come and get your tickets at school, so you don't have to wait in

line on Saturday!

EARLY RELEASE DAY

September 23, 2010 (Thursday)

Students leave at noon.

A purple sheet of paper was sent home on Friday asking if your child needs a sack lunch to take home to eat on Thursday. Return the form by Tuesday (9-21-2010), so the lunches can be ordered on time.

Math this week...

Students will...

- Identify same and different by the attributes of color, shape, size, and kind.

- Sort objects by one attribute such as color, shape, size, or kind.

- Sot the same set in different ways.

- Use more than one attribute to sort a set of objects.

Reading this week...

We will read the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom several times this week. We will practice saying and signing the alphabet without signing. If you and your child practice saying the alphabet, have him/her just say (not sing) the alphabet and have them restart if they slur the

l m n o p together.

The letters Bb, Aa, Ff, Nn will be introduced this week. We are looking at each childs name and identifying if the letter of the day is in his/her name. We are also listening and identifying pictures starting with the letter of day.

At home have your child practice writing his or her name. To keep it more interesting for the kids, you can have them use crayons, markers, color pencils, etc. .
